LA’s Tikim Fest: Culinary Delights by Fil-Am Chefs

Los Angeles, California – In honor of Filipino Food Month, FilAm Arts is hosting the Tikim Fest, featuring a diverse array of traditional and Filipino-inspired dishes crafted by renowned Fil-Am chefs across Los Angeles and Orange County this April 2024. This month-long festival not only tantalizes taste buds but also supports FilAm Arts’ mission to promote Filipino heritage in the United States.

Partnering with local Filipino American and Filipino chefs, Tikim Fest offers a gastronomic journey with special menu items and prix fixe menus highlighting the rich flavors of Filipino cuisine. Proceeds from participating restaurants contribute to FilAm Arts’ efforts in advancing Filipino cultural understanding and representation.

Throughout the festival, patrons can savor creations like the Breezy Paradise Pancake from Breezy Restaurant, vegan delights from San & Wolves Bakeshop, and the modern Filipino brunch at Lola’s by MFK. Coffee enthusiasts can enjoy diverse brews at Teofilo Coffee, while dessert lovers indulge in Eugene Santiago’s coconut jam and Sampa’s Ube Cheesecake.

Looking ahead, FilAm Arts continues its commitment to promoting Filipino identity through cultural programs like Eskuwela Kultura and the upcoming Festival of Philippine Arts and Culture.
