Filipino Grocery Chain Launches Relief Efforts for LA Fires

Los Angeles, California — A Filipino grocery chain is stepping up to support communities affected by the recent LA Fires. Island Pacific Supermarket, founded by Niño Jefferson Lim, has initiated several relief efforts to aid Filipino Americans and honor First Responders.

The supermarket announced it would donate thousands of essential items, including food and water, to areas devastated by the fires. Additionally, from January 10 to 13, selected Island Pacific branches offer free meals to First Responders as a gesture of gratitude for their dedication. Participating locations include Granada Hills, Santa Clarita, Canoga Park, Los Angeles, West Covina, Long Beach, Cerritos, and Lake Forest.

Island Pacific expressed solidarity with First Responders, acknowledging their bravery and dedication to protecting communities. The supermarket noted that providing meals was a small but meaningful way to show appreciation during these challenging times.

The relief efforts extend beyond donations, with the store encouraging volunteers to join by signing up through their Facebook page. Thousands of essential goods have already been delivered to the LA Regional Food Bank, ensuring resources reach multiple distribution points.

The Island Pacific Supermarket thanked the SoCal Filipino community for their support, emphasizing the importance of Bayanihan in overcoming adversity.
