Daly City, California – A Filipino American couple, Perla Gange and Emidgio “Mig” Ibarrientos were celebrated for their devotion to each other and their community on their 60th wedding anniversary.
In a ceremony attended by top Bay Area officials and Daly City’s core leadership, the couple was praised for their enduring love and commitment. San Mateo County Board of Supervisors District 5 representative David Canepa highlighted their exemplary relationship, describing them as a model of a healthy partnership.
March 23 was declared “Mig & Perla Ibarrientos Day” in honor of their diamond anniversary. It was recognized throughout the county and especially in Daly City, where the couple has lived and made significant contributions.
Perla’s dedication to public service is evident in her involvement with the Pilipino Bayanihan Resource Center (PBRC) and various civic engagements. She has been instrumental in advancing Fil-Am socio-political issues and humanitarian causes, earning accolades such as the Assembly 19 Woman of the Year award.
Mig, with a background in engineering, has supported Perla’s endeavors while pursuing his career and consulting work.
