San Francisco, California — The Pistahan Parade and Festival brought together Filipino American families, community organizations, artists, entrepreneurs, and government representatives in downtown San Francisco on August 8–9, 2026. The 33rd annual celebration highlighted Filipino culture, heritage, creativity, and community connections throughout the Bay Area.
Filipino American Community Celebrates Across San Francisco
The Philippine Consulate General in San Francisco joined partner government agencies to support the two-day Pistahan Parade and Festival. On August 8, Consul General Talisayon served as Community Grand Marshal at the pre-parade program at the San Francisco Civic Center and recognized the organizers, volunteers, and community members behind the event.
The parade traveled from Civic Center along Market Street toward Yerba Buena Gardens, where festival activities continued through August 9.
Visitors experienced Filipino music, dance, food, fashion, arts, sports, martial arts, business exhibits, and community resources. The Philippine Consulate also provided information about consular services, tourism, trade opportunities, and other resources for Filipinos in the region.
